Bailee Mantei Scholarship for Seniors in High School

The Bailee Mantei Foundation was formed in 2018 after Bailee’s passing in a car accident in November.  Bailee was a bright, beautiful, dedicated young lady who had a drive in everything she did.

That drive was seen not only in her schoolwork and activities, but also in her athletics where her first love was always soccer.  Bailee began playing soccer in Clio at the age of four where she played for CFC Supernova until the fourth grade.  Following her move to Freeland, she started playing for the Midland Soccer Club.  After 2 ½ years she was offered an opportunity to play for a Nationals Premier team and played with that team until the time of her passing.

Throughout her 14 plus years, it was clear that soccer was one of her passions.  That is why, as a foundation, we wanted to provide this scholarship as a way of saying “Thank You”.  Thank you for the 2 ½ wonderful years that Bailee played for Midland Soccer Club, and thank you for all your support after her passing.  The 3v3 tournament in 2019 was a wonderful tribute to Bailee’s love of the game and we are beyond appreciative of the opportunity to use the Midland Soccer Club fields to host this event and the support of the Midland Soccer Club board to help coordinate this event.

We look forward to the second annual 3v3 tournament in 2020 and hope to continue this event for many years to come.
