The inclusion into the Director's Academy completes the player development model set forth two years ago and allows Midland Soccer Club players to strive for the highest level of youth soccer currently available in the state.

To be accepted into the Director's Academy a club must have a commitment to a player centered, developmental curriculum, highly licensed coaches with a commitment to coaching, parent and player education. In addition, the clubs accepted have a common vision which emphaisizes the developmental process to produce more technically and tactically gifted players with the understanding that team results will follow.

Changes for 2017-18 include:

U9-10  Pre-DA Academy Teams- focus on technical/tactical training.

U11-U12  DA Academy team (Green teams)- selected through tryouts with top players being identified for the team.  White teams focused on continued player centered technical and tactical training to account for players who develop at various rates.

U13+ Premier league teams to compete at highest levels possible.

"The selection into the Director's Academy is extremely gratifying.  The application process is demanding and the by our selection the state has recognized the value of our player curriculum and the ability for our club to produce top talent." said George Hageage, Technical Director.  "Midland and the surrounding community should be very proud of the recognition this area has gained with this selection.  Foe a local club not connetced to a massive club as a satellite program says a lot about the foundation that was set by previous directors.  We are one of only 28 clubs who have been hand picked to become a part of this program and that is a huge honor."

Registration is currently open for June tryouts
