The Future of Midland Soccer Club

The Future of Midland Soccer Club

The Project

The region desperately needs additional indoor athletic facilities, and this project will fill a much needed gap. Given the growing ranks of area athletes and youth recreational programs in soccer, lacrosse, pom/cheer, baseball and football, the community needs an indoor turf venue where players can train and compete, regardless of the weather.

To meet this need, Midland Soccer Club has launched a capital campaign to build a 150,000 square-foot indoor turf venue on the existing property of the Midland Soccer Club. The project is budgeted at $12MM. Funding will be raised through private donations, sponsorships, and foundations. Construction to begin Fall, 2025. We are hopeful to raise an additional $500k to invest into an endowment for project enhancements and maintenance.

Our Goals

The Midland Soccer Club’s multipurpose facility is a community-driven project that will accommodate the growing ranks of athletes and youth recreation programs in the Great Lakes Bay Region and provide a safe, up-to-date venue for players of all levels. This facility — the first of its kind in our region — will provide an economic engine for the entire Great Lakes Bay area, attracting thousands of year-round visitors to tournaments, academies, camps, and trainings.

The construction of this indoor turf venue will benefit thousands of dribblers aged 3 to 19 across the region, including those with mental and physical challenges.  We will continue with our strategy of adaptive sports by hosting such events as Special Olympics.

New Opportunities to Train, Play and Grow

  • Increase the availability of indoor training facilities for all sports.
  • Allow for establishment of new leagues and academies.
  • Expand and continue to develop the Fusion Women's Pre-Professional Team.
  • Institute clinics in the off-season to rejuvenate coaches and referee pool.
  • Expand Special Olympics and our TOPSoccer program for those with different abilities.
  • Recreational teams could play during the winter months.
  • Host winter tournaments and college showcases, bringing recreational tourism dollars to the region.
